The trades that hold a building up, and the ones that finish it.
Twelve civil and structural trades, available individually or as a package. Most of them are the kind of work where preparation decides the outcome — so that is where we spend the time.
Civil works
What we take on.
Each of these is a discipline in its own right. Tell us which one you need and we will tell you honestly whether it is our own crew or a vetted specialist partner delivering it.
01
Structural Strengthening
For when a slab, beam or column has to carry more than it was designed for — a change of use, new plant, an added floor. Carbon fibre laminates bonded to the existing structure, steel plate bonding, or section enlargement, depending on what the loading calculation asks for. No demolition and rebuild.
CFRP · plate bonding · section enlargement
02
Concrete Repair
Cracking, spalling and rust staining are symptoms. The cause is usually water and chloride reaching the reinforcement. We survey before we quote — cover, carbonation depth, chloride sampling — then break out to sound concrete, treat or replace the steel, and reinstate with a mortar matched to the substrate.
Diamond cutting where a breaker would crack what is meant to stay standing. Wall, floor and wire sawing for structural openings, plus core drilling for services. Sized to the penetration, set out from the drawing, and cut wet with slurry controlled so the surrounding area stays usable.
Wall · floor · wire saw · core drilling
04
Heavy Equipment Moving & Setting
Getting a chiller, generator, transformer or press from the truck to its final position when the access is tight and the lift is awkward. Rigging, skating, jacking and gantry work, then setting on plinths, levelling to tolerance and grouting in. Lift plan and load path agreed before anything moves.
Rigging · jacking · plant setting · grouting
05
Fencing & Perimeter Works
Boundary and security lines — chain link, welded mesh, palisade and solid panel, with gates, posts and foundations to match. Also temporary construction perimeters, where the fence has to go up quickly, take wind load, and come down again without wrecking finished ground.
Mesh · palisade · gates · foundations
06
Passive Fire Protection
Keeping fire where it started for as long as the design requires. Intumescent coating to structural steel, cementitious spray, fire-rated board encasement, and firestopping where services pass through a rated wall or floor. Applied to the specified thickness and recorded — because the thickness is the entire point.
Intumescent · spray · board · firestopping
07
Flooring & Masonry
Screeds and floor finishes — epoxy, polyurethane, self-levelling — plus tiling, marble and natural stone. On the masonry side, blockwork, plaster and render. Floor finishes are won or lost on substrate preparation, so it gets the time it needs rather than the time left in the programme.
Epoxy · PU · tiling · stone · blockwork
08
Industrial Coatings
Protective and functional coatings for places a decorative paint will not survive: chemical-resistant floor systems, tank and steelwork protection, anti-slip finishes, and line marking for traffic routes and safety zones. Specified against the real exposure — traffic, chemicals, heat, UV — and applied as a full system.
Chemical resistant · protective · line marking
09
Scaffolding & Access
Access designed for the job rather than improvised on site. System scaffold and tube-and-fitting, independent and birdcage, with loading bays and stair access where the work needs them. Erected by trained crews, handed over with a certificate, and re-inspected on schedule.
System · tube & fitting · inspection · handover
10
Steel Structure Assembly
Erecting fabricated steelwork — frames, platforms, mezzanines, pipe racks and support structures. Set out from the fabrication drawings, plumbed and lined, bolted to the specified torque, baseplates grouted. Where the steel is imported, the shipping and customs clearance are ours to manage too.
Erection · alignment · bolt-up · baseplates
11
Glass & Mirror Works
Mirrors and glazing cut, edged and installed — washroom and gym mirrors, partitions, splashbacks, shopfront and internal glazing. Toughened or laminated according to the location, with safety glass where a breakage would put someone at risk.
Fabrication · edging · toughened · laminated
12
Swimming Pool Construction
Pools built from excavation to first fill — reinforced shell, waterproofing, plant room, filtration and dosing, then tiling or plaster finish, coping and surround. Waterproofing is where pools fail, so we treat it as a structural item rather than a finish. Servicing and water treatment available afterwards.
Shell · waterproofing · plant · finishes

Before we price
What helps us give you a number that holds.
None of this is mandatory. The more of it we have, the less the price moves later.
Location, and whether the site is live, occupied or empty
Drawings or a schedule of works, if they exist
Areas or quantities, even approximate
Access constraints — working hours, permits, lift or crane availability
The date it has to be finished by, and whether that date is fixed
Straight answer
Some of these trades need a licence or specific plant.
Structural strengthening, passive fire protection and pool plant are all disciplines where the certificate matters as much as the workmanship. Where a package calls for one we do not have in house, we say so and bring in a vetted specialist under our contract — so you still have one party accountable, one programme and one invoice.
We would rather tell you that at the quote stage than discover it halfway through.
